TEXT: Rom 13:13-14 Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to gratify its desires.

PREACH
To be clothed with a person is a Greek phrase, signifying to assume the interests of another-to enter into his views, to imitate him, and be wholly on his side. Putting on, or being clothed with Jesus Christ, signifies receiving and believing the Gospel; and consequently, taking its maxims for the government of life, having the mind that was in Christ.
In other words, to put on the Lord Jesus means, to take him as a pattern and guide, to imitate his example, to obey his precepts, to become like him, etc. Our Lord Jesus was temperate, chaste, pure, peaceable, and meek; and to put him on is to imitate him in these respects. These are the best clothes to put on a daily basis.

PRAYER
Take my life, and let it be Consecrated, Lord, to Thee; Take my moments and my days, Take my heart; it is Thine own; Take myself, and I will be Ever, only, all for Thee,

PONDER
To put on Christ is to possess Christ, to have him in us, and us in him.

PRACTICAL
Make it practical by clothing your life with the garment of humility and holiness
